Golf Trips to Turkey
The best-value week of golf in the wider European game, if you go in the right months.
Belek is a purpose-built golf resort strip half an hour east of Antalya airport, with a dozen championship courses and a set of five-star all-inclusive hotels sitting between them. The model is different from Spain or Portugal: instead of booking a hotel and buying green fees, you buy a package — seven nights all-inclusive plus three or four rounds — and the golf comes bundled at a price no pay-as-you-play itinerary can match.
The catch is timing. High summer in Antalya reaches the mid-thirties and afternoon golf stops being enjoyable. Belek's real season is March to May and October to November, with a cheap and perfectly playable winter either side. Get the month right and a week here, all food and drink included, costs less than four nights and three rounds in the Algarve.
The best-regarded course on the strip and priced accordingly. What you pay depends on which hotel you're staying in, plus a per-player administration fee.
Green fee: €110–€260 by season and hotel
Turkish Airlines Open host, floodlit for night golf, and the most immaculate conditioning in Belek. Staying at the Regnum knocks a chunk off the rate.

The long-standing tournament course — big, strategic and the sternest test on the strip after the Montgomerie.

The Sultan's shorter, tighter neighbour. The most society-friendly course in Belek and often the cheapest round of the week.

Twenty-seven holes of Nick Faldo design through the pines, with three nines that can be combined in different ways.

Two established courses in one resort, water in play on both, and one of the most reliable value packages in Belek.

A tough, well-conditioned layout attached to one of the better-value all-inclusive resorts.

The original Belek course, David Feherty and Donald Steel, and still the members' favourite. Tree-lined and fair.
Green fee: €89–€129
A genuine links-style layout an hour west of Belek. Different golf from everything else in the region and cheap with it.

Green fees in Belek move a lot with the season, and most courses charge a different rate depending on whether you're staying in an affiliated hotel. Rack rates like these are the wrong way to price a Turkey trip — price the package instead.
